Here at the DMZ, we celebrated the beginning of a new year by welcoming four new teams to our family: Tiny Hearts, SoJo, Jobdeals.com, and EatSleepRIDE.com (ESR).
Tiny Hearts: This iOS studio is behind Pocket Zoo, an iPhone and iPad app that was named as an Apple Staff Favourite and has been featured in The New York Times and Wired Magazine. This kid-friendly app gives you access to your very own zoo, complete with real live animal cameras, amazing wildlife videos, and detailed descriptions of different animals.
SoJo: Do you have an idea for a social change but aren’t sure about how to make it a reality? SoJo is at your service. SoJo is an online resource that helps young people organize the development of their idea and the launching of their project. Whether you’re still toying with ideas or you’ve already begun your project, SoJo has the tools to help.
Jobdeals.com: Forget poring through the YellowPages or Craigslist’s posts to find a maid service, handyman, or personal trainer; let Jobdeals do the legwork for you. Jobdeals locates local businesses they believe to be best-suited to your needs, and then asks them for a price quote. You can post the job or service you need done on the Jobdeals website, and interested businesses then bid on the work.
EatSleepRIDE.com: If you’re passionate about the world of motorcycles, EatSleepRIDE is for you. This online motorcycle community boasts a wealth of resources – news, events, tutorials, an online store, videos, and riding routes! EatSleepRIDE.com is an open platform, allowing users to engage with each other and share their love of the motorcycle world.
