Phosphorus Revolutionizes the Home Showroom

  • Forget comparing tiny cabinet, countertop and backsplash samples; here at the Digital Media Zone, one team is revolutionizing the way homebuyers customize their new digs.

Phosphorus Media has worked with Mizrahi Khalili Developments to provide a better showroom experience at 133 Hazelton, luxury residences being built in the heart of Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood.

Using a simple touchscreen, buyers can see how their wood, marble, and backsplash options look in a lifelike rendering of their unit’s kitchen and bathroom. The image is then projected on a 42-inch screen for added realism.

“Buying a home is often the biggest purchase people will ever make,” says Jonathan Ingham, president of Phosphorus.

“If you can see how things will look before you buy, that’s a huge asset. It’s made to give people a better idea, and help them make a more confident decision.”

Ingham says that the interactive feature has been well-received by 133 Hazelton buyers, who enjoy seeing their options on a larger scale. He also says that he sees opportunities for the technology to grow; online and iPad versions would allow buyers to play around at home, cutting down on time spent at the showroom.

Phosphorus Media specializes in interactive floor and wall displays, digital signage, and touchscreen kiosks. To learn more about Phosphorus, visit their website.
