One of Canada’s most famous novelists, Margaret Atwood, toured the DMZ yesterday, meeting with Flybits, ARB Labs, Tactile Audio Displays, Ping Pong Story, Hitsend, Sound Selecta and EDGE Lab. Along with being an award-winning novelist, Margaret is also a poet, literary critic, essayist, and environmental activist. She’s won the Governor General’s Award twice, both in 1966 and 1985.
During her tour of the DMZ, Margaret was accompanied by Matthew Gibson, President of Syngrafii, and Boris Koechlin, CEO of Syngrafii, as well as Adam Kahan, Vice President of Advancement at Ryerson University and Valerie Fox, the DMZ’s Executive Director.
In total, Margaret spent about two hours in the DMZ, chatting with many entrepreneurs, learning about their businesses, offering constructive criticism, and even meeting some of her biggest fans. She took the time to sign books and take photos with her fans at the end of her tour. Check out a few select photos below or see more photos here.
